MONGOLIA ALTAI

Exploratory skiing and snowboarding in the Tavan Bogd mountains | Khuiten Peak (4,374 m)

Mongolia, Central Asia. Tavan Bogd National Park is home to the highest peak in Mongolia - at 4734 meters, Khuiten Peak is a worthy objective at a fun elevation. April - May are the best months to ski in the region, starting from the capital city of Ulaanbaatar. Join us.

The Altai Mountains of western Mongolia offer one of the world’s most remote areas for ski touring. Centered around the glaciated massif of Tavan Bogd National Park, this expedition combines exploratory skiing and snowboarding with immersion in Kazakh nomadic culture.

Beginning in Ulaanbaatar and flying west to Ölgii, we travel by 4WD across the high steppe to the Potanin Glacier and the base of Mongolia’s highest peaks. From the base camp, we’ll spend multiple days exploring glaciated valleys, 4,000m+ peaks, and long descents in a landscape rarely visited by skiers.
